Absolutely if you have to be in certain place for a job or to care for family but if those things are not the case can you be Happy anywhere? Whether the weather is snowing and -10 or a bright sunny 78 everyday, whether you are familiar with the language or culture or you know the way to every restaurant and shop in town and every face is a friendly one. Could you adapt to urban life and daily food shopping, walking the dog on the street or driving into town fifteen miles to get a gallon of milk before 8 pm or it will be closed? Oh wait maybe that is where I draw the line... where do you? Do think you have to experience these changes to know if you will be Happy or Unhappy; or can you already say that certain "places" would cause your life to be Unhappy? Does it matter that you are choosing where you live or if you are at the mercy of another decision maker; can you deal with the changes more easily?
Personally I do not mind moving, I am open to living most places, whether urban or not, I feel that since it is something that I have prepared my mind for it is easier. But I do not know why I feel this way, is it that I enjoy change? Or am I more adaptable than others or am I naive?
We could be moving, and moving soon by the fall... or we could be here for a while longer, either is OK with me. With both choices (which is really not ours)... actually I should have just said possibilities our home goes on the market Wednesday, now that is another issue for another blog entry.
