This weekend we took Mom A and the boys down to spend the night at the Omni Shoreham, DC and to eat at Carmines (food pictured above). It was as delicious as it looks! Kerry has been making their sauce for years and recently gave me the recipe, which is now my "go to" red sauce recipe. Out back of the Omni which runs along Connecticut Ave. there is a beautiful green lawn perfect for races with dad and jump on and Off the hammocks games. Saturday was the big rally which didn't quite cooperate with our time schedule to get back the train station. It was an adventure to say the least but it was worth it!
