About a month ago we took the boys down to DC to the Omni Shoreham for a Zoo weekend. It just happened to be the hottest days of the summer. We made the best of it and with the indoor, air conditioned animal houses it really wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. The second photo is at Pizzaria Paradiso which is supposed to be the best pizza in DC. It was very good but fancy and personally I would prefer ozzey gooey messy plain old probably Chicago style pizza. The main attraction at the National zoo has to be the pandas and they were really neat to see, the one above is sleeping. They have a Panda control room where they monitor our furry friends via video camera 24/7. It was also really cool for the above gorilla to come sit right in front of Hudson and I. But Hudson's favority house was the Reptile House. We saw some of the largest snakes and lizards I have ever seen, even on television. The one behind Hudson in the first photo was over ten feet long.
