Saturday we drove to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore to celebrate Samson's (elephant) 2nd Birthday with an added incentive, Charm City Cake! We didn't see Duff or his staff but their film crew was there so we may just make it to the small screen. Other highlights of the day were feeding the giraffe, watching Harrison meet face to face with a puffed up chicken (needless to say he wasn't happy about it), eating lunch in Little Italy and dessert at Vaccaro's for the best Cannoli in the US. Samson's cake was made of sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and decorated with carrots, celery and other veggies. Our cake was chocolate with either a peanut butter cream filling or vanilla cream filling and it was delicious but obviously from a sheet cake and not the one that is made with fondant pictured above.
