WE SAW PAULA DEEN!!!!She is thinner and prettier in person, unfortunately I got star struck and was speechless. A few minutes after we thought she walked on through the restaurant Hudson and I got up to walk to the bar and SHE WAS STANDING THERE. I stood speechless like a statue, I put my plate down and stood, silent, Hudson on the other hand said Hey Mom that is Paula Deen!

Tybee Island

We always find a coffee shop on our trips and go back over and over and the photo above of Hudson is at "our coffee shop".

Sorry these pictures are way out of order, this was our last night so we headed down to the beach for sunset just as the tide was rolling in.

Inside Paula Deen's Restaurant, The Lady & Sons (above).

The line for our seating at the Lady & Son's, 300 deep. We had preferred seating and got in within 5 mins of our reservations because we took the
Paula Deen Tour.

Two wonderful stores I mention again below, Vintage Home and The Paris Market.

Forsythe Park and my two monkeys climbing on it.

I could have spent days and days in the store below and if I lived there I would go in everyday and sip tea and have a pastry and pretend I was in Paris...

The Paris Market

The store below called Vintage Home was pure Inspiration! There were tons of flash cards (I got a bunch of food related words), beautiful cupcake stands (couldn't live without two), vintage dish clothes (several purchased) and many more wonderful things that I wanted but remembered that we are in the midst of a move and blah blah blah.

You can see Hudson was thrilled about being in here which is why he got to drive around with dad on my next visits.

Harrison, LITERALLY covered his face in the mud and sand and loved every second of it.

My water boys

Of course we had to drive by the Tybee Island police department.

We don't normally use the car seat at restaurants but we were being resourceful and it worked out great besides we had just taken it out of the dune buggies that we rented (below) to explore the island.

Yes, that is Harrison in his car seat in the red dune buggie, we had a blast, well 3 of us did, he slept the entire time!
Overall the trip was great. We thought Savannah was charming and had a European feel with the row houses so close the streets, the coffee shops eateries, book stores, brick streets and parks literally on every other block in the historic district. Established in 1733, Savannah has had an interesting and sometimes tumultuous past... thank goodness Sherman decided not to burn it on his way to Atlanta.
