I have been in the baking mood lately and I am not sure why. I have never really enjoyed it that much. However, it seems that while I enjoy the process everything I have tried tastes the same. Both of the these recipes called for Cinnamon and Nutmeg, I think they are the over powering culprits, also in the Banana Cake I made for Easter! I will stay away from them in my next adventure. The Snickerdoodle Blondies were good, but not fantastic. They needed a sauce and a dollop of ice cream. The Squash Bread was just okay. I didn't care for the cinnamon because it took away from the squash. I really wanted to make a pumpkin bread. I have never baked with yeast, well not since Home Economics so that is my next attempt... real bread, maybe pumpkin.
