Goodbye to Good Friends

Over the last few weeks we have been saying good bye to our good friends, the Steeles, Cooper and Emily, also baby Carter, 14 mo.  They moved to Montgomery at the same time we did and we started getting to know them around the work Christmas party that year.  Emily was in nursing school to be a Nurse Practitioner at the time and I was working so our schedules were busy but then babies came, we both decided to stay home and so on.  Over the last two and half years we have gotten to spend quite a bit of time off and on with them and really enjoyed their friendships.  Cooper makes an awesome New England breakfast and Emily brought us the best homemade chicken pot pie I have ever had when Harrison was born along with other sanity saving help. Last weekend we hosted a going away dinner at No. 16 and dessert at our home for them and since we have seen them many times trying to get those last visits in before they go.  They are only moving 2 1/2 hours away so it won't be the last time we see them and in the Air Force you expect to say good bye to friends every so often but it doesn't make it fun.  We have appreciated you, Emily and Cooper, and will be down to see you soon.
